It seems that , diversity is found everywhere and has become the part of life.If someone enter a shop that person will find many articles.That person can see varieties of cloths.Among a particular type of cloth that person can see varieties in sizes,shapes,colo(u)rs,etc of that type of cloth.If that person enter into a flower shop,that person can see varieties of flowers of various shapes,colo(u)rs,aromas,sizes,etc.Thus there are varieties found everywhere and we also see that different people prefer for different things.The taste of each person is different.It is hardly possible that a person would share all his or her preference similar with another person in the world.Similarly, we can see different people have different taste for spiritual things.Some peoples like a preacher who speak slowly while another type of peoples love a preacher speaking fast and very loud.Some peoples  like preachers who cracks jokes in his sermons while there are certain people who consider that it is a sin to crack jokes by a Christians.Different peoples love different Christian musics.Some, consider certain musics is satanic in origin and thus reject it use in churches.Some peoples love old songs while other love new generation songs while another group of peoples love a mixture of both.Some peoples like to go to extreme level of faith,while other does not.There are peoples who forbid taking any form of medicines.Some people prefer certain doctrine over another.Thus one of the reason many denominations exist is because there are people with diverse preference.

 

                           The problem is that it is not only the diverse preference of people the only reason for the existence of various denominations.It is divisions that is the another reason for the existence of various denominations.Divisions occurs because different people interpret Holy Bible differently due to which there occurs differences in doctrines and statements of faith.Some people give importance to traditions,rather than to the word of God.Some people claim to have divine revelation and start new denominations.Some denominations are formed to support a ethnic group and so on.

 

                           But according to the Holy scripture God want us to walk in unity.We read in Ephesians 4:1-6 "As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."Philippians 2:2 reads as,"Make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose,"Thus to live in diversity or division is not the call of true believers or disciples of Jesus but to live in unity is the call.

 

                         A question is asked by anti-Pentecostals to Pentecosals that by the scripture it is clear that God want unity and not divisions.You claim to have one Holy Spirit but there are many denominations among you,why so?
