Can three be one, logically?

Many muslims ask Christians the following question like this -Father=God (1) , Jesus=God (1) and Holy Spirit=God (1) so is'nt it three Gods (3).Because 1 +1 +1 =3.So, how can it be one God , logically?

Brother Prasana Kumar has a answer for this question of muslims. You can visit his website (here). His answer: If they ask me a question like the above I would respond something like below:

Muslim: Father=God,Jesus=God and Holy Spirit=God so is'nt it three Gods. How can it be one God,logically?

Christian: God is always ONE! He has His Word, who took on human form and nature and became Jesus Christ, and Spirit. Both Word and Spirit of God are not created. They are one with God and therefore they are God.

Muslim: How can that be? If the Word (Son or Jesus) is God and the Holy Spirit is also God then these are two Gods in addition to God, the Father, and altogether they make three Gods, right?

Christian: Plus, minus and division are mathematical functions. They are applicable only to creation but not Creator.

Muslim: What does it mean?

Christian: Allah is one, right?

Muslim: Yes!

Christian: You say Allah is one i.e. '1'. As any one can say 'one' i.e. 1, can be divided into smaller parts like 1/4 or 1/3 or 1/2. So, can Allah be divided into smaller parts or not? If not why not?

Muslim: No, Allah cannot be divided into smaller parts. Because Allah is not a created being and moreover he is beyond any mathematical functions.

Christian: That's impressive! For the same reason God is always ONE even though He exists as the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You cannot ADD or Divide or MULTIPLY God for He is beyond any mathematical functions. As you yourself admitted, God is not creation. That's why you should not ADD God but accept Him as He revealed Himself in His Scriptures.

Logically speaking, all mathematical functions and formulas are applicable only to the creation, but not Creator! The above Muslim question is both illogical as well as meaningless. In order to help them first we need to ask them if Allah is subjected to mathematical laws and functions. Once they admit that Allah is not subject to mathematics then we should point out to them that they cannot use '+' when talking about or asking about God!

Thus we saw how illogical is the question of muslims by brother Prasanna Kumar. But still can three be one logically ? See the example below:

Line AB (1 figure)                                                     Line BC (1 figure)

Line CA (1 figure)                                                   Triangle ABC (1 figure)

We know that line AB is one figure, Line BC is one figure and line CA is one figure if we combine this three figure we get triangle ABC which is also one figure. Thus three can be one logically.

Morever, we have heard this words many a time "we are one".How can 'we'  be one? It should include more than one person to be 'we'.So here we see more than one becoming one.

Thus three can be one is logically proved.
